Cranberry Apple Crisp

I think its time for a spin on the original apple crisp. This is a recipe that my family has EVERY christmas. Kids and adults alike will LOVE this delicious comfort food.

Ingredients
3 cups peeled and chopped apples (I like to use the green ones)
2 cups fresh cranberries
1/2 cup plus 2 tablespoons flour
1 cup granulated sugar
3 packages Quaker Instant Oatmeal with Cinnamon and Spice
3/4 cup pecans, chopped
1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 cup butter (1 stick), melted
Pecan halves and fresh cranberries for garnish

Directions
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
2. Combine apples, cranberries, and 2 tablespoons flour in a 2- quart casserole dish. Toss to coat. (No need to use an extra bowl to mix these ingredients. I love minimizing the dishes).
3. Combine the oatmeal, pecans, 1/2 cup flour, and brown sugar. Add the melted butter and stir well. Spoon over the fruit mixture.
4. Bake uncovered for 45 minutes. Garnish with pecan halves and cranberries. Serve with ice cream.
