Banana Nut Bread (with Buttermilk)
Ingredients
1 ¼ cups sugar
½ cup butter, softened
2 eggs
1 ½ cups very ripe bananas, mashed
½ cup buttermilk
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 ½ cups flour
2 ½ teaspoons baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
½ cup chopped pecan
Directions
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees
2. Cream butter and sugar together until ti becomes like a paste
3. Add eggs until well mixed
4. Add bananas, buttermilk, and vanilla
5. In another bowl, mix flour, baking soda, and salt
6. Add the mixed dry ingredients to the wet ingredients followed by nuts, if desired
7. Place in oven for 70 minutes
Nuts can be omitted if desired.
