Caramelitas


Ingredients
1 cup flour
3 tablespoons flour, for butterscotch topping
1 cup quick-cooking oats
¾ cup packed brown sugar
½ cup butter, melted
½ teaspoons salt
½ teaspoons baking soda
6 ounces white chocolate chips
½ cup chopped pecans
¾ cup butterscotch caramel topping

Directions
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees
2. Mix together 1 cup flour, oats, brown sugar, butter, salt, and baking soda
3. Put half the mixture in a 9X9 baking pan and bake for 10 minutes
4. Remove from the oven and sprinkle with white chocolate chips and nuts
5. Mix the butterscotch caramel topping with the remaining 3 tbsp. of flour and warm slightly in a small pan or microwave and drizzle over the nuts and white chocolate chips
6. Cover with the remaining oats/sugar mixture and bake for another 20 minutes
7. Cool completely and cut into bars

Alternatives
1. If you really like butterscotch, you can also add some butterscotch chips along with the white chocolate chips
2. Another option is to substitute the white chocolate chips for semi-sweet chocolate chips
