If you love chocolate and caramel, this recipe will be the BEST thing you have EVER eaten! Everyone will love this!
Ingredients
1 box german chocolate cake mix
2/3 cup canned evaporated milk
1 egg
2 cups chocolate chips
1 - 14 ounce package caramels
3/4 cup melted butter
1 cup chopped walnuts
Directions
1. Melt Caramels and 1/3 cup evaporated milk in top of a double broiler until smooth
2. Grease a 9 X 13 inch pan
3. Combine cake mix, egg, butter, and 1/3 cup evaporated milk
4. Add nuts and mix dough
5. Pat 1/2 of the dough in the bottom of the greased pan and bake at 325 degrees for 10 minutes
6. Remove and sprinkle chocolate chips on top
7. Pour melted caramels over chocolate chips
8. Drop spoonfuls of remining dough on the top
9. Bake for another 15-20 minutes
10. Cool and then refrigerate
Can be served warm with ice cream or cold. Top with nuts if desired. SO GOOD!
